Hands Across The Water
Spectrum has always been an international melting-pot of talent, but it can sometimes be problematic for artists in other countries to participate. For Spectrum 17 we are happy to announce that we've reached an agreement with our friends at Beijing's prestigious leewiART Gallery to act as our official liaison for entries this year for entries by Chinese artists. They'll translate the rules and information, coordinate and submit entries in bulk to the competition, and distribute books to any artists with work selected for inclusion in Spectrum 17. Though leewiArt Gallery's primary focus is on CGI, entries through them are not restricted to computer art: all mediums and methodologies, 2D and 3D, are welcome and encouraged.

This agreement naturally doesn't affect entries from other countries – everyone else participate as you always have – but if this experiment works (and saves everybody some money and frustration) we might start looking into similar arrangements with reps in other parts of the world. In the meantime, artists in China should visit leewiART's website for more information.

Spectrum一直是聚集人才的国际大熔炉，但其他国家的艺术家在参赛上有时会遇到不便。本次Spectrum 17的征稿，我们很高兴地宣布我们已与地处北京并很有声望的朋友，leewiART画廊，达成了协议。他们将作为我们的官方联络机构，为中国的艺术家完成今年的投稿。他们将翻译规则和信息，统一协调并向大赛提交中国艺术家的稿件，并为作品入选Spectrum 17的艺术家分发赠书。尽管leewiART Gallery的重点业务是CGI，通过他们投稿的形式并不局限于电脑美术：我们鼓励所有媒介和创作方法，无论2D或3D，都欢迎投稿。
