“深渊”，是专门囚禁拥有神格者所创造的，距离地表将近一万米深的幽冥海域. 自它形成的那一刻起，就从未有过一丝阳光透入，几千年来都被无边无际的黑暗所笼罩。
超负荷的重水压、强腐蚀的高盐酸、接近绝对零度的恒定低温，使这里成为了生命的炼狱。稍弱一点的生物根本无法生存，能够存活的物种少之又少，食物的匮乏，幸存者之间你死我活的吞噬竞赛每时每刻都在上演。
