树城原本不叫“树城”，而是以前坐落在铁匠山中，被素河环绕的一个王国。因铁匠山盛产金矿，素河河床有大量的银矿，所以王国被外族称为“金国”。但金国人因某种原因渐渐丧失繁育能力，金国秉着自己的财富购买了大量的外族人，故没有统一的名族，就连国王的贴身侍卫也不是本国人。金国703年，国王中毒身亡，王后怕王子尚幼，外族会借此机会入侵，不分昼夜举国搬迁到了深谷之中，改名“树城”，把整个王国隐藏起来。但王子自幼在与世无争的深谷之中长大，胸无大志，慢慢地金国变成一个脱离外界却隐藏着巨大财富的世外桃源。另一边外族因觊觎金国的财富一直在寻找当年富裕强盛却突然消失的金国。直至金国1314年，因“树城”中大量的金属物质渐渐改变了深谷的磁场，被外族的猎人发现，“树城”开始沦陷了...........
